international practical theatre direction course

OPAL is the practical theatre direction course with further direction practice opportunity on professional stage - the production of the performance at the repertory theatre with professional actors. The course is designed for advanced candidates with professional stage experience - performing arts practitioners from various genres, techniques and styles. Participants will be able to learn the key principles of mounting the performance, acquire reliable director’s toolkit for creating contemporary professional productions, improve skills and gain confidence in the director’s role. The course will be also useful to playwrights, directors of video, film and animation, dancers, choreographers and actors interested to gain deeper understanding of the stage direction category.
The course programme includes three full-time sessions,
intensive practical training, lectures, discussions, participation in
conferences, as well as the distance course work by email correspondence.

Session III - April 25-May 1, 2010

DIRECTORS FOR COLLABORATION
In June 2009 the four directors - Artemis Preeshl (USA), Ferran Utzet (Spain), Charlotte Eliot (France) and Li Zinan (China)
have successfully completed the international theatre direction course of IUGTE and directed the graduation performance at Donetsk Russian State Repertory Theatre of the Young Spectator in Donetsk, Ukraine. IUGTE recommends these directors for collaboration.

"Theatre Methods" is the annual professional festival-fair dedicated to the Bridge between Tradition and Contemporaneity in performing arts. The festival is an opportunity to demonstrate methods of training in traditional theatre and to present works as the result of traditional theatre training techniques. News about Performance Art in , Caracas, Venezuela. Performance project developing until March at wonderful speed here at the Contemporary Arts Museum in Caracas. Not a Workshop but a personal piece. Workshops didn´t do too well this past year (yet the 2 "video-forums" did!), but, as teaching is my goal, hopefully things will come across soon enough. It´s fixed on my mind (teaching) and I´m still working hard on it.!
